I have been reading the work of Dion Fortune and I find it interesting becuase it is "applied theosophy". I have not read all of her books so I cannot comment on the accuracy of her entire material. Any thoughts and opinions on her teachings?

I read with interest the recent announcement of New Direction etc. and noticed that the word theosophy was not capitalized. I thought, therefore, that this might be a good time to share part of a larger work-in-progress of mine which gives the special epistemological reason that I prefer to keep it capitalized. Best wishes to all--R.

One of the things that baffles newbees as well as long-time students of theosophy, is the confused definitions of theosophy. When one tries to discuss or debate the subject, we may end up parting with deep disagreements because each one of us may have been introduced to theosophy by various lineages, each clinging to certain viewpoints. HPB seems to have forseen this problem and addressed this to the second annual convention of the American Section. She stated:

For the first time in history, as has been said elsewhere, Hinduism itself forms here the subject of generalisation of a Hindu mind of the highest order. For ages to come the Hindu man who would verify, the Hindu mother who would teach her children, what was the faith of their ancestors will turn to…

In the early theosophical literature, there are many references to cycles and how entire universe is governed by cycles. I just ran into one of the most interesting articles about cycles. Here is the link. Some of you may enjoy it.

The Cooperative Spirit and its Many Manifestations
Rene Wadlow*
The United Nations General Assembly in Resolution A/RES/64/136 has designated 2012 as the International Year of Cooperatives in order to highlight the large role that cooperatives can play in ecologically-sound development and poverty reduction. Inspired by conversation in SD group I therefore blog. Blog blog.
Years ago I had a bad flu and was lying in bed in fever listening to tv-news about EU parliament with all these huge piles of papers when everything has to be in different langugaes. In my feverish mind I thought I'll make a new language for EU. Or, why not, a universal language.
Ideas I had:
It's grammar should be as straightforward as possible. No exceptions to rules after another.

I have downloaded this Introduction and first four chapters of my revised work to give the members of the forum a sense of what the Esoteric Science is.
