The energy of Synthesis is a new energy, a new force and a new substance. Its Purpose is the building of a new civilization which will carry the Evolutionary Plan for humanity into manifestation. While it is a synthesis of 1st, 2nd and 7th Ray energies, and carries then resemblances to these, still it is not like any one or any combination of them. It is like itself insofar as this planet is concerned. In the Cosmic Scheme it is…

This group is forming and all are welcome to partake in it. Hopefully we can each share our ideas with out any rancour or serious disagreements. Really there can be no disagreements as each contributes their understanding and to each her/his own awareness. Discussion is both welcomed and encouraged. We are all in this together as we are part and parcel of humanity at large.
It always seems best to start at the beginning. If you haven't read the blog post " The Seven Problems of…

This essay discusses the segmentation of the world, more particularly the Western world, into three cultural groups: Moderns, Traditionals and Cultural Creatives. There is a fierce polarity to be found here. Can Cultural Creatives bridge the gap that exists between Moderns and Traditionals?
This essay is a kind of informal sociological analysis. It is a sequel to my analysis of the…

There are "Seven Problems" facing humanity of major consequences at this time in time. They are:
1. The Physical Reconstruction of the World - which in my understanding would include economic, social , and the wanton destruction of nature…

Somehow this 2011 book escaped my attention until today, and I'm delighted that such a reliable author has taken on a subject of such importance. Will be ordering it immediately, but sight unseen will add this to the recommended reading list for Church of Light history. It meets a very real need, that much is apparent from some of the reviews.
Here's the publisher's webpage…

While contemplating Ghost Land's multiple pseudonyms and searching for possible prototypes in other works of Emma Hardinge Britten, I came upon this telling passage from Emma, expressing class resentment at her aristocratic informants and their penchant for secrecy. Bolded passes are highlighted by me:
From Nineteenth Century Miracles (1884) pp. 90-91
In America, where the sources of popular power are derived from the people, Spiritualism may be…

Several years ago, I was wondering myself about the secrets, how somebody can keep silent about something that is a light for the humanity, how can I keep silent about something that I want to scream to the skies...
How somebody can choose who deserve a determinated knowledge about something...
The secrets are lights of the Truth, that Truth, that nobody have fully, every Truth…

Mr. Jan Ciglenecki, Slovenian philosopher, is publishing Slovenian translation of Baroness Adelma von Vay’s book Geist, Kraft, Stoff (Spirit, Power, Matter) and is starting to prepare an international symposium dedicated to her life and work.
According to her own words, Adelma von Vay was HPB’s and Colonel Olcott’s: “… our very esteemed friend and fellow, …” (CW 4, p. 180).

10 October: For Those on the Pay-roll of Death
Rene Wadlow
I shall die, but that is all that I shall do for Death. I am not on his pay-roll. I will not tell him the whereabouts of my friends nor of my enemies either Edna St Vincent Millay
10 October is the International Day Against the Death Penalty. Since the end of World War II, there has been a gradual abolition…

What is the "soul"?
The stimulus response model by Wilhelm Wundt (1832 - 1920) as the basis of modern psychology basically states that because a researcher can hook a patient up to electrodes and inject them with chemicals and elicit identical responses, the…

In the last three blog posts at ehbritten.org Marc Demarest delves into a new research tool that addresses precisely the kinds of questions discussed by Joe, Govert, June, and others in a recent thread. Having seen a few of his search results, from the POV of the Church of Light I wanted to see how Hermetic/Hermeticism and astrology, the two keywords most relevant to us, compare to Theosophy and Spiritualism, two source…

The Next Earth Summit: Rio Plus 20
Rene Wadlow *
The United Nations, its Specialized Agencies and programmes, member governments and Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are preparing their policies and evaluations to be discussed at the next Earth Summit to be held in Rio de Janeiro in June 2012: 20 years after the original 1992 Rio conference that drew up guidelines for…

The constitution, no doubt, of the Society is broad enough to include minds more sceptical than my own in regard to the alleged sources of its vitality and influence. But let any one try to realise this nominal freedom, and he will find himself, not only in an uncongenial element, but in an attitude of controversy with his ostensible leaders, with the motive forces of the Society. That is not consistent with the sympathetic subordination or co-operation which is essential to…

I used to write a considerable amount, but I ceased the more I realized how little I knew and began to think less of my thoughts. Ego, is a strange thing. Anyhow, it will be good for me to do some introspection, so here's an introduction...
"Son Liu Strahz Danya" is pseudonym; a (silly) phonetical nod to my Ukrainian-Rusyn heritage. I once thought to legally change my name to it as I thought assigning names with predetermined meaning to children before they developed as a…
