It was a great pleasure to watch the opening of the 10th World Congress in Rome even though my local time was 3.00am. It took a long time.
Starting with Prayers of All Religions, opening/ welcoming talk by the GS of Italy followed by reading of greeting messages received from individuals from around the world, then followed by personal greetings from General Secretaries or their representatives and finally we had the Opening talk by… Continue

Unique Opportunity in the 10th World Congress - A view In ten days, the 10th World Congress is scheduled at Rome. Many leaders
from the West will be attending it. In the aftermath of the
International Election and the follow-up cleavage displayed by the
theosophical leaders, the future growth of TS in the West is going to
depend on the level of reconciliation that takes place among the

An interesting account of the first Swami Entrepreneur of Yoga in the USA. Looks like the same old technique is working well today making many Swamis rich. Read the full article on the book.

There is a new article on Internet, titled - 'My First Flight', in
which C. W. Leadbeater describes his first flight, which took place
between Brisbane and Toowoomba in Queensalnd, Australia, in 1928. He
makes some interesting observations on the nature-spirits of the air,
some of which he had not seen before!
Also, this is the first time I have seen anyone writing about
observing entities while on airplane flight. All theosophists know
that the entire…

Joseph Ross’ books on Krotona
Sometimes, reading historical material gives a better perspective of TS.
Some take a simplistic view of TS as another world-wide worldly organization
like the various business and political organizations were are all familiar
with. Considering the unusual origin of TS and how and why it was launched
and the intense on-hands Adeptic guidance of TS in the early days, it makes
one think and possibly meditate.
Much of the…

The book - Lives of Alcyone by CWL and AB is fascinating to read even if you consider it all fiction. It was not republished by TPH since 1924. The original publication used very poor quality paper which later became brittle and most threw them away. Courtesy of Internet and digital scanning, it is now available for download at scribed.com. It is in three files and here is the link for the first.

Krishnamurti’s Comments on Adyar
On Jan 7, 1924, Jiddu Krishnamurti wrote to the members of TS:
+++
It is essential for the individual member and for the Society that Adyar, as
a great spiritual center, should be maintained worthy and dignified. The
importance of this is so obvious that few can doubt it. Adyar is and always
has been, a spiritual oasis to which the weary traveller looks for comfort
and repose. Though it may not be the previlege of…
