Clairvoyance and Synesthesia
Synesthesia is a rare neurological condition in which "stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway." (From the Wikipedia article on the subject). This results in a "fusion" of senses, such as seeing sounds or hearing colors. Other similar and strange results are possible: Some synesthetes experience certain numbers as "angry," for example.
Accounts of synesthesia often remind me of some accounts of clairvoyance--and vice versa.
Might the two be connected?
Are some so-called clairvoyants actually synesthetes?
Are some so-called synesthetes actually exhibiting clairvoyant abilities not recognized by scientists as such?

That's an interesting question.. When we define Clair-voyance it means "clear seeing" and seeing without using known human senses.
All of us have probably had some clairvoyant experiences but perhaps our "rational" thinking mnimizes these things and in time we forget them or explain them away as coincidences.
Now synethesia .. I'm unsure if that's clairvoyance.. It's more a case of say hearing music and seeing colors.. or as you mention above sensing that some numbers are "angry". Synesthesia though seems to me closer to Artistic sense.. An artist conveys something using a medium .. brush and paint .. that stirs our emotions and evokes ideas and thoughts.. Why? because by nature, we are symbolic beings. Our languages and thought are based on symbols.
Maybe there's an area where synesthesia and clairvoyance inter sect?
