The Light of Truth
The words Truth and Light have been synonymous historically in various traditions of the world. A few examples:
Lead Us From the Unreal To the Real,
Lead Us From Darkness To Light,
Lead Us From Death To Immortality,

A question that arises is that what kind of light this truth emanates? Is the light like that of the Sun, illuminating everyone without any distinction, or that of a flashlight that will illuminate only a few? Is the truth available only to the seekers, only to a select few?

Wel, I am not sure what kind of 'light' that is trying to be explained, but I sure think it is just put there to guide us from the 'darkness' and from like spinning all out of control because really no one knows anything except what out ancestors had known from what their ancestors had did and told them, and even they did not know everything either though from back that far in the past.

In my understanding,
Truth is "the one thing" (or perspective) through which everything can be associated together and have meaning. In terms of light, The truth describes (illuminates) everything.
I use a simple analogy to show this.
On a piece of paper place 2 points. Consider the objective is to connect these 2 points. The truth would be represented by a straight line between them. Now any circuitous line that eventually connects the 2 points would be true, but every "true" path at some point deviates from the straight line. So from the perspective of the straight line, all other "true" paths would be a "lie". A "lie" being simply a deviation from the truth.
This simple exorcize does illustrate something I find to be profound. It shows us that any "lie" is a tool through which the truth can be discerned. If a "lie" is a deviation from the truth, then you can follow a "lie" back to where it deviated from the truth.
It also shows us the relationship between true and false (lie). A lie is relative to a perspective, and can be true from a different perspective.

The discussion is about Light. Yet you propose a very interesting experiment. If a lie or a truth is 'relative to a perspective', how it can describe or illuminate everything? Or, anything?
I would like to propose another thought. What if there was no Truth? No Light?
