The primary thing that popped up was in: Sethian Gnosticism
with that in mind, I have to read more.
Obviously, one could Jesus of Nazareth in the name, but otherwise - I was lost. The Baptism angle threw me.
So it has to do with Baptism in Jesus's name (loosely) in a secret Sethian Gnostic rite.
Now, I have to get the Apocalypse of Adam to check that document out (I am sure I have it).
A good puzzle indeed.

Ok so Sethian Gnosticism was a certain side of Christian Gnostics but wasn't all too Christian? I see the term 'barbarized' form of Jesus also scattered about, I'm wondering if this "living water" they refer to is even all what it symbolically represents Jesus as a person or Living Water Jesus as a action force like 'spirit' or something else by form of baptism... why the nickname anyway hmmm.. yes indeed a puzzle!
