Conscious/Awake Vegetative-state individuals
Science now has a simple test to see if vegetative-state people are aware of the world. This raises many ethical questions.
Doctors can do NOTHING for them.... so:
1. ask them if they want to be euthanized?
2. let them vegetate?
3. require frequent MRI's to "talk" to them? (costly - unfortunately)
4. Other?
