In my daydreams I have always been a futurist. Bored out of my skull with today's thoughts. A question arises about if I cannot relive the past and I cannot go into the future, all I have is the present or the now (and it;s fleeting). I would like to suspend the (now) where it is all I have and live in the moment with the past (experiences and knowledge) without being bothered by time.

Joe Fulton brought up excellent points about (3d) printing. The industrial age was born thrived and is less than what it was in it's beginning. Jobs come, jobs go. It is said today's educational system from grammar to high school and college, where the teachers and professors are not preparing today's students for tommorro's tech jobs. Technology seems to be ahead of the teaching curriculum and excellerating at a rapid pace.

I see where help is needed yesterday not tommorro. There is a time and place for the past the present and the future shall we begin now? pljames

The Temporal Hermetic Principle comes into play. I would guess (on your time issue).

The fact that 3D printing is in use already, deployable as needed (by US Army), is interesting. There is also the "printed" circuits as well. So, you have pieces as well as "smarts" that can be prototyped straight out of a computer design. That speed will be critical. Prototyping is the slow part of a design, and they fail a lot. Fast turn-around  will be a real competition edge.

In the Quantum world, future can modify the past. Where does it leave the present?

One fascinating issue is that there are so many people on this site that actually believe Science is all Causal Reality of Materialism. That meme is garbage, false and so naive it is astounding. (at least to me).

Synchronicity, coincidence are all normal happenings. Even macroscopic objects display these phenomena if you can keep the decoherence controlled. Things exist in multiple places at once and emergent phenomena occurs as well.

This is the seepage of the external into the realm of mind through standard physics. Just age-old Emerald Tablet stuff, not a surprise.

People do not get it, I guess.

Physics does not consider time as  a unique "instant". Simultaneous events that you see can be separated into two different events at different times etc.. It is easier, I guess, to ignore the rich reality and run after the more limited ideas of those "special few" (huh ?) who claim to be ground-breaking and fighting the supposed "doctrines of closed minded scientists"

even if the ontologists win the argument and the wave-function is real... .  They likely will be left holding a bag that says a Thought-form has a real existence. They may not like that after they get there. <G>
