John Emerson Mead, born 12/19/1952 in Fort Morgan, Colorado, died 8/11/2024  in Johnstown, PA. He wanted to be an organ donor to benefit someone after he passes away. The family informs that new "homes" for John's lungs, kidneys, and liver have been found. His tissue will be used for persons in need of burn grafts. The family wants us to keep them in our prayers, especially the surgeons and medical staffs and the recipients and their loved ones. Leaving this type of legacy was extremely important to John.

John, a life long theosophist, is the pioneer who started theos-l, independent online free e-mail theosophical discussion group in July, 1993. The list continues on Groups.io as Theosophy discussion list. Till his last day, he was actively moderating Theosophy.net Ning forum and Theosophical Network Facebook page.
