The Why

I was reading a book by Yogi Ramacharaka a few days ago, and a particular part of it held my attention.

It was about the "why" of everything. As in, the Big Why: why do we exist? why are we separated spheres of consciousness? why the seeming infinite progression upward?

AS I WAIT

the urge to Create bubbles within my Chest

and these butterflies will not let me rest

AS I IMPLODE

no longer am I lost in Haze

and quickly my Eyes begin to Glaze

AS I RISE

leaving the Ignorance of my youth

and continuing this never-ending Quest for Truth

AS I GROW

trying to alleviate your Fear

and to simultaneously Disappear

Thoughts out of Context

I'm teetering between selfish love and transcendental love.

I'm afraid. 

I fear the direction I'm headed. I fear that all that I've ever known is about to be stripped away from me forever. What is the point of learning what we are inside, if the cost of this knowledge is eternal separation and alienation from what we once loved?
