This is how the Sistine Chapel graphically on a contemplative level views the soul/psyche being made into the image and likeness of God. The individual is seen as the singularity.

The measurements of the chapel allow the contemplative to conceptually fold up the chapel into a Torus (like a donut with a hole in it) similar if not the same as an origami. Then the nine central panels is measured to obtain its circunference and the diameter is obtained. This image fits perfectly into the hole of the Torus. The nine central panels depicts God making Adam into his image and likeness.
