Few global issues dominate human mind today more than protection of the environment for our own survival.

Possibility of contaminated radioactive water leaknig out from the damaged Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant has once again brought this issue to the fore. Particularly the information mismanagement by both the Operators of the plant and the Japanese Government.

That once a universal knowledge existed for the benfit of the humanity, and the application of that knowledge is more relevant today than ever is highlighted by the beautiful hymns composed in honour of the Mother Earth and how to respect air, water, trees, rivers etc. aptly titled, "The Prithvi Sukta" in the ancient Indian Text Atharva Veda, verses 12.1.1 to 12.1.63.

Peter, in one hour you maanged to figure out the entire Sukta which I have not been able to do for many years. So, whether you are on the right path or not, you can decide yourself. Sure, the pain clouds the vision and creates self-doubt, but:

"Remember thy Glorious Robe,

Thy Splendid Mantle remember

.........

That we were twain in distinction,

And yet again one in one likeness."

Relax. Please do not torture yourself for writing replies. We can wait.
