I feel its important to create a mental grid in which to see the world through- to create a set of general mental directives to follow within the daily affairs and interactions of life in general. Here's the set I try to adhere to, the list that I replay in my mind whenever I become overwhelmed:

1. Control your eyes

2. Control your breathing

3. Accept your elevating limitations

4. Watch for patterns

5. Assume nothing

6. Think with your heart

7. Help those around you

I know most people don't need such a structured mental frameworks as I do to function, but does anyone else have "directives" they try to implement in their lives? If not, then any general comments are very much welcomed too.
