If our minds are the product of cause and effect, is it wrong to create a cause which would have the absolute effect of forcing the recognition of the unreality of personality/materialism?

Is free-will a prerequisite to begin traveling down the spiritual path, or can someone push you down it? And if someone can push you down it, is it right to do so?

The main question on my mind:

If it's possible to create such a strong argument for spirituality that it forces one to accept it, should it be broadcast?

Broadcast... I would say, sure! BUT.... remember all of those great teachers in the past that had these strong arguments of spirituality and hard held beliefs or teachings. Remember what they had to go thru... Their conviction was strong no matter how many people ostrasized them, no matter how many people hated them or left them to the dogs, sometimes even the ones that loved them left them. Sometimes only logic instead of the esoteric view is there, free will, ego, and belief systems stand in front of these arguments as well. So one has to wonder, (metaphorically speaking) if I plant this seed is that all I need to do to allow it to grow? Or do I have to force water down the shoot all day long? And if the seed doesn't grow will I continue to plant the seed? Is this infertile land?

For the mind, all that is needed sometimes is just the seed. The cultivator is the one who will bring it to life.
