Lyrics: I'm moving through some changes I'll never be the same Something you did touched me There's no one else to blame The love we had has fallen The love ...

I love the guitars - accoustic at the beginning, and bass throughout. Very few bands have a bass player who can lead the song like Yes's guy. This song was played before music videos, (dang I'm showing my age... I just remember those days lol) so the music and lyrics had to paint a picture, what that picture is I'm not sure, i kind of imagine it as a 4 year old doing finger painting (very messy) and as that child artist grows they "refine" their skills and draw lines, and precision... wasnt it picasso who said he needed to learn to draw like a child again... thats what the cubism era was about .. kind a sorta...
Jon Anderson explained the meaning of this song at a concert at San Michelle winery just north of Seattle, Eashington ......Driving through the sound refers to Puget Sound, the area in which Seattle Lies ..the lake is Lake Washington, and the Mountain is Mount Raineer, by far the most picturesque in the United States and the snowiest place on earth with an average snowfall of over 400 inches a year. It looks like a a giant snowcone Rising off Lake Washington. If I recall there was a recording studio there ( didnt deep purple do smoke on the water from there?!?) and they also did many a gig there.
to paraphrase Rick Wakeman - what the hell do the lyrics mean?
wasn't part of Yes approach, to give powerful visual images that, in a gestalt-like manner, relate emotion and energy in a more powerful way than trying to intellectualize them.
I think, at the time they wrote this song, they were kind of exploring a metaphysical world through sound and music. In some ways they are sharing with the listeners and in some ways they are exploring with us. which kind of ties in with frequencies for me... frequencies frequencies my life is so full of audiology, acoustics and frequencies.. vibes! perhaps I should stop and start listening to them!
change is always difficult to accept, it is often used as a weapon... "you've changed", "I'm not going to change" "i'm going through some changes" often change is used to isolate and forms a barrier from others, yet the song is kind of circular like the roundabout and says I'll come back to you!
hey ho ...this is so random... I dont know.... I think I need another coffee shot to get my head working right ... you know I'll be humming this tune all day now dont ya!
I cant stop listening to this song..there is such a double meaning to it!
This song kind of sounds like the world and its Governments.. instead of talking about lovers or a woman...what do yall think?
Read the lyrics and you will see what I mean..
Peace,Love and CHANGES for the good of ALL!! <3
