Of late, many professional publications sell their hard copies along with a searchable pdf files. Recently I had to purchase two volumes with 900 pages each and lugging them along was becoming a problem. Even though no pdf file was available, I created one for my use so that I can access them on my note/netbook as well as search and copy the text when I post messages on Internet forums. In another instance, the book was out of print and was costing $600 on Amazon. I had no other choice than scanning it and make a copy for my personal use. I guess there are occasions where one or the other is appropriate.
Thanks for the info. I am a great fan of electronic files preferably pdf files. Also the incremental cost of making them available is very marginal. Also anyone around the world can get hold of them any time. Are you aware of the availability of pdf files of Patrizia's books?
I had never known about Thea until recently. Thanks for the links. I visited wiki and found very useful info. Will delve into her book when I have access to it. Is it available as a free pdf file for download. I am a great fan of pdf files.
Welcome to the community. I used to live in Bengaluru long time ago and at that time there were three dynamic theosophical groups - one in the City, another in Cantonment and third in Malleswaram. I am sure there are many in town interested in the topics of interest to you. Please feel free to share with us anything of interest.

Hi Harish, glad to see you here ... apparently there is one more step to joining TGC study group. You must now request membership to the group. http://theosnet.ning.com/group/the-gnostic-circle.
