"A working group of the Advisory Committee to the NIH Director on Monday released its interim report and plan for the BRAIN Initiative, a new multi-agency effort to study
and map the human brain. The working group identified nine priority
areas for research, including a census of cell types, structural maps of
neuron connections and circuits, and development of better technologies
and tools for neuronal recording and manipulation. The full interim
report, an executive summary, and presentation slides are available on
the Advisory Committee website."
