Terry Pratchett is a British Science-Fantasy Author/Satirist

Pratchett's stories take place on DiscWolrd. It is a Flat Land carried by 4

elephants on the back of a giant Turtle (The Great Al-Turin) that swims

through space.

The world has Dwarves, Trolls, Humans, Witches, Wizards and of course

Religions etc. the "History Monks" are a take-off of Tibetan Lamas.

"The Auditors" are a wispy (blackish hooded things) etheral group of

beings who hate Humans (keep messing things up) and are in charge of

greater things like Gravity and the lawas of Science (if there are any)/

DEATH speaks in "ALL CAPITAL LETTERS"
There is a DEATH OF RATS that says "SQUEAK"
DEATH has/had an apprentice called MORT
DEATH has a Grand-Daughter called Susan (also immortal)

DEATH's symbol/crest is a Black Omega (from "Alpha to Omega")

Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat are three well known

Witches

Ankh-Morpork is the largest and oldest city on Discworld. Ankh and

Morposk are divided by the River Ankh. The city is ruled by the Patrician. A

Tyrant, Former Assassin trained by the Assissin's Guild.

The University for Wizards is called "Unseen University", resides in

Ankh-Morpork, and is well known and apparently seen by everyone.
"City-Watch" is Ankh-Morpork's Police Unit.
