Here are the Survey Results for Part 3 of our series conducted over the last three weeks on Theosophy.Net.  These cover the fields of Science and Social Action.

The two questions use both quantitative and qualitative methods. We want not only to see what you think is important, but why.

Scientific Endeavors:

The first question addresses scientific issues, and we're starting off by trying to get an idea of overall awareness.

In the second part of this question, we look at how we feel about the various forms of research by asking how the degree to which we support or oppose a specific type of research.  Yes, this chart is a slightly different format than the others for reasons I was never able to figure out.

On to the Social Graphs:

The first of these two deals with the degree of awareness and the level of interest in the subject.  The responses measure the degree of apathy or awareness.

Finally, the last item in the survey group deals with our attitudes towards the social causes listed above.  We wanted to get an idea of your support or opposition to these causes.

Some conclusions:

What we had set out to do with these surveys is to get a snapshot in time about how you viewed various aspects of our work and how you integrated into your attitudes and views.  As expected there was a large variety of opinion and while some things were expected, others were complete surprises.  We have all of these surveys available for your examination, as well as the data broken down into numbers and percentages.

Please use these surveys and be creative with the stories they tell.  In my view, they present a pretty good picture of the theosophical 'community' in both a quantitative and qualitative perspective.

As always, if you see something interesting, let us know!
