It's easy to get depressed by the current state of popular music. I've been lucky enough to spend most of the last two decades in a town where the music scene seems oblivious to trends. While lyrically, some of these songs are more-or-less straight-forward love songs, most of them are a bit deeper than that. In the interest of self-promotion, some of my own works are on the list.
