Google Wave
On Friday, Google announced a product, to be released later this year, Google Wave. As envisioned and demonstrated, Wave potentially represents a completely different way of handling online communications. Currently we either communicate through e-mail, social networking sites, or communicators. Wave promises to eliminate this distinction and in some very creative ways.
You may ask what this has to do with Theosophy? Well, in some ways, a lot, as it will represent a shift in how people relate to each other, and thus, a shift in how we think. Also, at a more practical level, there is the possibility that a product like "Wave" could impact social networking sites such as FaceBook, Twitter, and yes, even Ning. In this version of Theosophy we always keep an eye out for current social and tech developments...just as HPB did in her world.
