Demeter is the male's number one Anima symbol along with her daughter Persephone. I can't speak to the female's Animus. Yet, women for some reason or other were more in-tuned to the writings of CG Jung. I think that is because the unconscious is feminine and it is the ego that is masculine; however, that is the way that men should see it symbolically though I have had inklings that for the feminine it is the other which way around, which makes things all too confusing in our world. I say apples you say oranges kind of speak. It is the way of our world and the real reason men and women don't understand each other. We don't listen or pay attention to what each other is saying.
