Visual memory in Vajrayana Buddhist monks: better after meditation :)

As science is getting deeper into the mysteries of consciousness, they're also researching meditation and it's effects. They found that in those Tibetan Buddhist monks who practice visualization meditation, after meditation their visual memory is much improved - but only temporarily (unfortunately).

THEY SAY being the operative word. There's no evidence in the oldest Buddhist scriptures of the mantra at all. Anyhow - wasn't enlightenment his object, not memory?
