Can you imagine a world where access to spiritual information was blocked by the government? What if you stopped by an internet cafe, only to find your favorite website was banned by a public web filter, or your friend’s natural health website was blocked because it mentioned ‘spiritual healing’ techniques? A disturbing movement to censor perfectly legal spiritual information is growing (right now in the UK, but other countries are poised to jump on the bandwagon), and will continue unchecked…

A disturbing movement to censor perfectly legal spiritual information is growing (right now in the UK, but other countries are poised to jump on the bandwagon), and will continue unchecked unless people become aware of the problem and protest it. Find out more about the UK filter, and how it will affect you, below.<br />

I'm preparing a lecture for our local lodge on this topic and was wondering what you all thought about it. Do karma and freedom conflict? How does neurological evidence fit in? What IS free will, or freedom really?

I've been reading '<a href="http://www.squidoo.com/creative-evolution" target="_blank">creative evolution' by quantum physicist Goswami</a>. I think you've probably all heard of the way in which some people are interpreting quantum physics to mean that we're all free to create our own reality? Or as our friends at Theosophy Watch put it: <a href="http://theosophywatch.com/2009/06/10/mind-over-matter/" target="_blank">Does mind over matter</a>? Weirdly enough - that's not at all a viable conclusion from the standpoint of quantum physics. There are <a href="http://www.allconsidering.com/2009/limits-to-quantum-mechanics/" target="_blank">definite limits to the freedom of an electron</a> for instance.<br />
<br />
I do think that there is some reason for taking seriously the idea that <a href="http://www.allconsidering.com/2009/quantum-physics-universe/" target="_blank">consciousness manifested the universe</a> to begin with though. The <a href="http://www.allconsidering.com/2009/evolving-consciousness/" target="_blank">tangled web of observer observing itself</a> and thereby manifesting itself has a strange ring of truth for me. However I do think it has to take into account the possibilities of that moment of manifestation.
