I saw a sign that read "Psychic Readings"

So I'm running around town running errands, I'm at a stop sign and then I see this place across the street.
The sign reads "Real Psychic Readings".

I started thinking, well is a REAL psychic person someone that has expansion of consciousness?
If consciousness is only self awareness then expanding that consciousness makes us aware of being aware right?
I'm not too familiar with this, but is this kind of like what Hindu's refer to as Brahman and Atman?
Does this, the expansion of being aware make someone psychic?

Where it gets real confusing is when we use our intuition and instinct. Is this 'psychic power' or a 'higher consciousness'?

It could also be neurological disorder, as we begin to understand the human brain in greater and greater detail. There are several well documented cases where the so called "Psychic" has been successfully treated.

Both Hindu and Buddhist scriptures recommend avoiding "the phenomena, the dependent' and concentrate on what is "unchanging".
