What is a VIBE??

Really, what is it? When you walk into a room filled with happy people, you get a good vibe...

When you walk into a room with sad or depressed people you get a bad or negative vibe...

Sometimes when there is no one around, you get a certain "vibe" about something...

Is this a link to intuition? Or is it a feeling or an emotion?

I've always thought of a vibe as a form of energy, but the more I think about it, I can't put my finger on where it comes from, or how it got there in the first place. Maybe we create our own vibes.. Thoughts?
"General Theosophy" (Richard Ihle) hits #100 !!tag:theosophy.net,2013-01-27:3055387:Topic:1212382013-01-27T03:26:22.631ZJohnhttps://theosophy.net/profile/JohnEMead

The word wisdom to me.tag:theosophy.net,2012-11-22:3055387:Topic:1186522012-11-22T00:31:24.154ZPaul lee Jameshttps://theosophy.net/profile/PaulleeJames

The word wisdom to me mean understanding without doubt. Excepting by trust and faith. There seems to be a (something) to that action. I trust my feeling that I now fully understand but didn't before. Trust and faith are also new words for me. I see and sense people differently lately. Where I got this I don't know. I have a idea but it's only a idea. I also sense I have changed since I am aware of my seventieth birthday in March.

I am not the person I was last year. There seems to be something different about me lately. I like it but am not sure about it yet. There's a new spring in my step that use to not be there. I have some out there thoughts which I am a little nervous about talking about right yet. It would stand to reason I have to except this change for good because it looks and feels that way.

Thoughts please. pljames

That's the Thing About Spiritualitytag:theosophy.net,2012-09-22:3055387:Topic:1160512012-09-22T20:24:19.115ZJoe Fultonhttps://theosophy.net/profile/JoeFulton

That's the thing. I have to admit, there is something about being pretty ordinary. Ordinary is good.

For some reason there is something that sends up alarm bells when someone comes on to the site talking down to everyone like the rest of the membership is a bunch of idiots for not following such and such teacher or for not believing in this or that dogma. It kind of defeats the point of why we are here. More than that, it is dreary and boring.

That being said, it is really fun hearing another person's point of view. When there is a true give and take a lot of learning can take place and can even be quite transformative, but it seems that this openness for transformation never takes place when someone is just talking at, and not with you. You can tell the difference. There's a "something is clicking-ness" about it.

It doesn't always have to be about grim, seriously serious spiritual stuff either. A friend once said that when they hear people getting way too serious they want to start giggling. Frankly one of my favorite things on the site is the piece about cats. It's kind of mindless but it works inside of you.

BTW, General Theosophy is kind of kewl too. Richard definitely groks it.

I am reminded of the numerous times and ways in which the Dalai Lama emphasizes the one thing all people have in common, the need for happiness.

This seems like a healthy starting (and ending) point no matter where you are at.

There really is no boundary here on where we can go in discussing our work.
Servicetag:theosophy.net,2011-11-28:3055387:Topic:909252011-11-28T00:13:11.256ZJoe Fultonhttps://theosophy.net/profile/JoeFulton

Many of us do things outside of this site that are useful to others. Those that I know of have very uplifting and heart-warming stories of their activities. We would like to hear your stories of what you do to make the world a better place, whether it affects one or a million. The important part is what is in your heart.

Just about every spiritual practice has some kind of meditation or prayer involved. It can be a really personal thing, but for those who want to share their experiences, please feel free and feel comfortable.

Does Reincarnation play a role in your life? If so, how does it help you? Is there anything that you understand that can help others?
