Interesting article without doubt.
I note that it seems that science is always restricting its potential for discovery by its strict adherence to only concluding in consensus of observed regularity.
Such may be a necessary evil to avoid mistaken conclusion, but irregardless, it is still limiting.
The truest consensus is that there is a Mystery existing beyond their reach, in which the 'spooky' quantum mechanics and nuerophysics being sought after lies just out of the scope of their
best tools. And Mystery is something to which few scientific minds will concede.
The reality of those fibrous intersections exists within the very same Mystery of the Ouroboros, the chicken-egg paradox, and every thought process and wave frequency ever produced from the conscious and very aware 'Process of Being." We agree much on imagination. It is so key to current theosophy that we could start a separate thread/discussion on it. Would you go fo that?
(I am willing to start one, if you would prefer that to you starting it?)

Hi John and everyone,

Hi John and everyone,

Sorry, I've been very busy and only just had time to get back to the discussion. For me, imagination leads to so many other important aspects of our connection to our higher selves. Perhaps the question is what does such a capacity give us? What are we capable of imagining and what effect does that have on our lives?
Hi John and everyone,

Sorry, I've been very busy and only just had time to get back to the discussion. For me, imagination leads to so many other important aspects of our connection to our higher selves. Perhaps the question is what does such a capacity give us? What are we capable of imagining and what effect does that have on our lives? We imagine how others feel and that leads to all sorts of ramifications, depending on our beliefs. We imagine how something will evolve and go towards it with an attitude (belief) in mind. I think these are the cornerstones of the lives we actually produce. The books written by Jane Roberts between 1969 and about 1980 talk about these aspects of our personality through channeling work she did with a character called Seth, are much clearer then I could be on the whole subject and in huge detail.

And ala Terry Prachett, we need to experience, experiment and become, and then perhaps we have evolved our consciousness a little more.

Hope everyone is well,

Best wishes

Ineresting you mention Imagination. That was a key attribute Faivre used to define theosophy - as a universal theosophical tool. His definition of Imagination is complex. He considers it a key function humans use to reconnect with the higher self. Almost as if we have an Imagination gland, not a physical gland we have found but an innate attribute, that searches through Images, relationships, experience (etc.) in the physical world, similar in action to IMAGE-ination, Mundis Imaginalis (Corbin), Active Consciousness (Jung), Nous, Intellectus, Intuition etc., which help it divine these higher planes to reconnect and bridge back to the subtle/non-physical states in actual consciousness.

That rather fits in well with one aspect of the points you made.
