John,

Do you remember the conversation we had about monkeys and Gorillas? I forgot it, do you remember?

Now about the word divine. It is said we are inborn with a spark of the knowledge of the Divine (I am what I am) OT. I cannot argue about God not being divine. My problem is man and womens divinity? It is said that when we deny God then we are dead spiritually to God until we profess John 3:316 then his Holy Spirit is within us. Question, if God hates and cannot look upon sin, when we sin are we still saved and how can God stay within us as a saved person after we sin? Am I confused about the the divinity part. Paul

Hi Paul -

I am thinking the ape/monkey etc. came from the clip with Death and Susan here

In a very real sense all life is divine. It is all a part of God's creation and God is only good. Life is a spark of divinity.

I would argue (Free Will Theorem) that even Matter is divine when one looks at it deeply enough. It moves in a different way with rules that are not from man - but God.  note: I expect to get some flack from that one :)

Personally God made the world and life from Himself.

So, it is a part of divinity. It does not have to be totally divine to be divinely bestowed with these attributes.

Free Will is given freely. That is where the world is a moral wreck.

So, I think you are taking Divinity as all *or* Nothing.  I would say it is easier to think of it as a spectrum of sorts.

Total Divinity   <====(partly Divine)====> "very little" Divinity

So a range of Divinity exists. I have found some people use their own freewill so incorrectly that one cannot (or barely) accept that they have any Divinity and one would think they are pure evil. However -- the superior person sees a Human Being, flawed as they are. Some Mental Diseases, though, can make a person biologically hindered and that cannot be overcome by the person them self.

The above is only one way to look at it. It is always a bit more complicated regardless of where one stands.

Your question made me think of the etymology of Divine...

Origin
late Middle English: via Old French from Latin divinus, from divus ‘godlike’ (related todeus ‘god’).
So it's about right... In the bible it says we are from God, created in his image (some can interpret "god like", "of or from god", "like god")

Good approach - I like it!

you are shifting your major to Philology??

God does not hate any body as he himself exists in us. But he is different to the physical body and the mental body. GOD we says as spiritual body / etheric body ( spark) is only a spectator to Physical and Mental. He gives special comments to us ( inner self)  that what we do is good or bad. The ultimate decision is yours and the benefit or disturbance is yours..

I am what ?

What I am? or What am I? which is in built, is that you need to search. Accept and deny both is God. My experience is GOD like more sin people than humble guys and try to show his presence to them much faster than normal humans. He want less sinners to be on earth for his stability. If sinners or not there how do you see good people ( If every thing is light then where is dark and with out word or experience dark light has no value , with out hunger you can not say you are full ) God likes both The sinners as well as humble. If all are good you do not see the word bad or the world is to an end.

I feel GOD likes only bad people and hates good ones so that he can show off himself.

reminds me of the book of Job... god lets Satan destroy a devout person's life on nothing more than a bet with the Devil....  But wisdom Literature is like that... always a moral.

the attitude I have, is he/she is apparently a very Laissez-Faire governor -  does not govern but lets humanity clean up their own mess. We are a messy lot.
