Reference list in Harvard style

When writing a reference list in Harvard style:

Arrange the list alphabetically by author’s surname

Use italics for

Titles of journals

Book titles

Begin the reference list on another page.

Utilize "Reference" or "Writing list" as the heading. You are not required to include the date of printing if your work is only a reproduce of the present release. In the event that it is the principal version, don't compose the release.

Individual correspondence in Harvard style

In the Harvard reference format, individual correspondence is not incorporated into the reference list, if the data cannot be assembled once more. Individual correspondences are discussions, messages, telephone calls, and so forth. Make sure to solicit an endorsement from the creator before referring to him/her. You can refer to individual correspondence in the content. And this is where most of the people get stuck. Can anyone help me in the right direction, or, provide a fool-proof method to get positive responses from the author?
Intellectual Warfaretag:theosophy.net,2013-08-24:3055387:Topic:1290922013-08-24T05:18:00.602ZSeth Edwardshttps://theosophy.net/profile/SethEdwards

If we are to convince others around us to follow us, and in the process leave behind everything they used to know, those we wish to convince will need to know they will be OK. Love is the ultimate tool to ensure someone else feels OK. If we are going to begin tearing down others’ mental frameworks, they need to simultaneously know that something more beautiful and realistic and loving will take its place. Most of all, they just need to know they will be ok. It’s rare to find an individual who will peruse truth no matter the consequences to him/herself, so the general public must be persuaded to find the truth with promises of love, peace, and understanding. Promises which, if they do sincerely begin to seek truth, they will find fulfilled.

Therefore, as we broadcast our “destructive” messages aimed at the general population’s false ideations and beliefs, we must simultaneously communicate a sense of love and belonging. Otherwise, people will fear us too much to become one of us “truth seekers.”

If we do pursue this avenue, what messages will we communicate first? Is there anything concrete we could all agree on?

What channels of communication will we use? How much money can we come up with? How much money are we willing/able to expend on this endeavor? What is the most cost-effective way of influencing our cultures?

Ever get the feeling you just need to create something?

I have a genetic failsafe, it keeps me from falling into the clutches of materialism. I'm autistic. Aspergic. My mind puts me at an incredible distance from the others around me.

My mind doesn't create small talk. There's a disconnect between my mind and my body. I usually appear expressionless. Eye contact and faces often throw me into sensory overload. And when I do become comfortable with someone, I have nothing to say, nothing to contribute. I'm an eternal blank slate- a near undistorted mirror of the world around me.

How is this a failsafe against materialism? Because if I revert to materialism, I have nothing. Emptiness.

Pretending to be normal is a very shallow existence. Yes, I can fake the nuances and emotions and most of the give and take of average conversations, but on an intimate level with someone, it all falls apart.

My only dream is to love another, to help another, to feel connected to another. But in a materialistic, personal way, this is impossible for me. I'm unlovable. I'm closer to an alien or a robot than a fellow human being. Suffering ensues.

So I seek refuge in the eternal. My only home.

This is all just a release. Conquering of emotions. I don't wish to scare or worry you, just perhaps show you a different side of the human condition.

Please do not take your connections for granted. Please cherish your love's and your lovers. Please remember, nothing is more valuable than a beating human heart. Nothing at all is more valuable.

The self-help section is now finished! Although it is designated as an introduction, it is rather comprehensive in scope. It deals with many topics, as you will see. It is intended for those of us who can use a little support, guidance or ideas on how to work on ourselves, how to become a more integrated person. Can't we all use some support in this?

As to the soul work, work on a deeper level than mere personality: this will be a very short page. Most of these things are intuitively done. A few things can and will be pointed out. The need for finding a wholesome group to work in is such an obvious point. No one is isolated from others. Certainly in this coming Aquarius age the qualities of the heart need to be developed. The world needs these more than ever.
Self-help basics now developing on theosopher.nettag:theosophy.net,2011-07-25:3055387:Topic:716182011-07-25T09:50:57.282ZMartin Euserhttps://theosophy.net/profile/MartinEuser

It will be expanded slowly, as it needs time to crystallize thoughts. Constructive feedback, as always, is welcome.

All too often we experience disconnects between our studies and how things get put into action. As Peter pointed out, one of the major issues is that of a "customer culture" where everyone demands rights without the corresponding aspect of responsibility and obligation. The phenomenon was known in the Roman Empire as "bread and circuses".

How does a tradition such as ours speak to issues like this? Within each of us is a part of the divine, under whatever name. All of the various efforts to classify our make up into the aspects of physical, astral, spiritual, etc. are all ways of describing our place in the scheme of things. This relationship means that we are part of everything that takes place, and the good or bad that takes place in one place is ours, too...like it or not. If it is ours then we have some obligation as responsible beings, endowed with intelligence and wisdom to do something about the issues at hand.

The major task at hand for us, as theosophers, seekers, whatever label you use is to bring wisdom into living.

Here's to Peter for his excellent work in laying that out so beautifully.
